Volunteers Rocked Veterans Base Camp This Weekend!

This was a week of giving: of time, talents, resources, skills and hope for the future! VBC thanks volunteers from The Local 777 Pipefitters, Plumbers, Steam fitters Union, Tucker Mechanical, Nick and Melanie Lamparelli, Marty Gardener, a local veteran who works for Eversource, and John Smith: who came and repaired plumbing, helped gut a cabin damaged by a broken pipe, mowed the lawn, donated a wonderful lawnmower, paint, paint sprayer, gift card to Home Depot and so much more in order to get the cabins ready for Veterans to move into! Thanks also to our younger volunteers from the Killingly High School/Middle school and Parrish Hill High school girls soccer team who painted fencing and cabins! They, their coaches and family members were amazing working in the hot weather! A special thanks as well to veterans: Jeff Bizzarro, Keith Watson, Russ Johndrow and Janet Freniere who are working so hard to help get the Camp ready for other veterans to have a place to come to R.E.S.E.T.! So humbled by the generosity, hard work and dedication of all who are helping to make this a reality...
